Description

Blue Ventures is:
- Regularly communicating with the WASH cluster including UNFPA, ACF, UNICEF, CARE, CRS, WFP
- Reaching out to isolated villages in and around the Velondriake area which is home to more than 15,000 people
- Disseminating health information and distributing vital supplies including SurEau (water purifying solution), ViaSur (diarrhoea treatment kits) and mosquito nets through BV's existing network of community-based distributors - having procured supplies from Antananarivo due to stock-outs in Toliara and transported to Morombe on cargo ships
- Partnering with ShelterBox to set up 200 Family Lifestraws at contaminated water points throughout the commune of Befandefa
- Supporting ACF in their important work shock treating wells and doing WASH outreach across the commune of Befandefa
- Communicating the impact of Haruna and the challenges of reaching the most remote and vulnerable communities with vital supplies - weekly blog posts (latest one = http://blog.blueventures.org/haruna-response-update2), regular twitter updates and providing information to IRIN News
